Tips for Families

Go for a walk with your child. Look for shapes and textures in nature. Identify things that are smooth, rough, flat, round, square, pointed and jagged.

Tips for Teachers

Clap a rhythmic pattern. Have children imitate the pattern. Continue adding other actions for the children to imitate. Add snapping, drumming, stomping, and tongue clicking.
